Magic Mike XXL (2015)

IMDB: "Magic Mike XXL"
I wish I was that type of girl who can just be OK that with naked, good-looking men and sexy dancing, and because of the plot in this movie, I kind of have to be. "Magic Mike" was a surprise to me, because it actually had a plot and not just naked, good-looking men and sexy dancing.

Mike (Tatum) stopped stripping when he found his girlfriend, Brooke. And he continued on his dream of becoming a furniture designer and being his own boss. One day, Tarzan (Kevin Nash) calls him with some sad news and he meets up where he's told. Little did he know, all the guys are there and they talk him into coming on the road with them and to do their last show as erotic dancers. They meet a couple of obstacles along the way and we meet some new dancers and watch all the crazy things they do while they're road-tripping towards their last show.

As said before.. I wish. But I need a story to follow, and this wasn't good. But luckily it had a couple of moments where I laughed so hard.. Let's just say that Big Dick Richie (Joe Manganiello) is my favorite!! And I gotta mention Stephen 'tWitch' Boss too, because he's aweome and that's it! I wish I could put this film on the "Worth to Watch"-list just because of Joe and tWitch, but that's not fair. But for me, I would actually watch a couple of scenes just because of them again.. and again.. and again..

Penguins of Madagascar (2014)

IMDB: "Madagascar Penguins"
(Norwegian poster)
When I saw the trailer for this movie (at work, we have this screen showing off trailers with no sound), I thought: "Well.. 92 minutes of just penguins.. (sarcastic) Greeeeaat...!".. They're funny in "Madagascar", but it's like Scrat from "Ice Age", just a little is enough.

We've all seen "Madagascar" and it was all about Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria and all we saw was just a tiny bit of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private. But now, we see how they became the "high-one'ing" penguins they are today. They're like the Ethan Hunts of the animal world.

All the penguins from all the zoos in the world disappears and they've got to do something about it. They meet Dave (John Malkovich) who's the brain behind all this, and they also get some help from the "North Wind team": Classified (Benedict Cumberbatch), Short Fuse (Ken Jeong), Eva (Annet Mahendru) and Corporal (Peter Stormare).

In my opinion, I was right: it's too much. I mean, yes: They are funny, but 92 minutes is too long. The only thing that made me laugh during the film was the celebrity name-jokes.

Sex Tape (2014)

IMDB: "Sex Tape"
It is awkward and that's great, but I didn't laugh out loud. Maybe one time, but I can't even remember from what. It took them forever to finish a joke, and there was just too much talking and not much "action". If I could tease the guys for watching this, I can say that you see Diaz naked.. from behind..

Cameron looks great though! If you didn't already know, you would never guess that she's 42!
Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) meets as young, and what does young people "all the time"? Sex. Annie ends up pregnant and now they decide to get married. Bippediboppediboo, they have two kids and their sex-life is not as spicy as before. Annie gets and idea to make a sex tape to make things more exciting, so Jay films it with his iPad, but what he should've thought of first: iCloud.. And for some reason, Jay gives out iPads (he must be rich) to friends, family and the mailman. So now they have to go and gather up these iPads so that people won't see them!

Raising Helen (2004)

Picture from Google.
IMDB: "Raising Helen"
Kate Hudson is funny and beautiful at the same time. But while I was watching this movie I had to do something else too, like play something on my iPad. Sad, yes. Sweet, yes. Boring, yeees. Haha-funny, no.

I like you, Kate. It's the movie I don't like.
Lindsay (Felicity Huffman) is the loving family mother and sister, Jenny (Joan Cusack) is the stricked, by-the-book-mother and Helen (Hudson) is the untamed party girl who loves to party and enjoy herself. One day Helen gets a call that Lindsay died and in her will she leaves her three children (Hayden Panettiere, Spencer Breslin and Abigail Breslin) with her and the party is sort of over.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009)

IMDB: "Ghosts of Girldfriends Past"
I've never been a fan of Matthew McConaughey.. But after seeing him in "Dallas Buyers Club" and the things he does now, it's like he's a new actor. So I gave his "old" movies a chance. And when I saw that Emma Stone was in it too, I was even more sold.. Unfortunately.. this was clearly one of the movies that I should have stayed away from.

Emma Stone is awesome.. Love that girl! But in this.. she is the typical goofy Emma, but.. I just felt it was too much. She is so much better then how she is in this film. And the plot, it's like "A Christmas Carol", but worse. Connor Mead  (McConaughey) is The "ladies man" and a douche.. And then, he gets a visit from his dead uncle (Michael Douglas) and then Allison Vandermeersh (Stone) who shows him his past and how he treated the love of his life, Jenny (Jennifer Garner). And we all know how this is going to end..

But (now that I actually like him).. he is a handsome fellah!

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

IMDB: "Transformers: Age of Extinction"
Robots are cool, Transformers is even cooler..! But Michael Bay overdoes it. Chill out with all the explosions, man! Don't you know this movie is 1 hour and 44 minutes long!? It felt like 5 hours with explosions and meaningless dialogue. The only thing I liked with this movie was Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and (some of) the Tranformers. I gotta mention the daughter.. Ok, sure she is eye-candy, but .. she's suppouse to be the one taking care of her dad, but when they're out in the world, she's the biggest winer ever!

The Hound.. He was sort of cool, but there was a moment when he had too many "cool" lines.
Shut up already!
Cade Yeager (Wahlberg) is an inventor and he fixes things, and somehow he finds this old truck and takes it home for some fixing. Turns out.. it's not a truck, it's Optimus Prime! And in this movie the humans have turned against Transformers and is working on destroying each and every one of them. They even have Transformers to destroy Transformers! And the rest.. explosions, explosions, explosions..!

Marky Mark showing off some muscles. Ain't nothing wrong with that!
Bumblebee, still awesome!

300: Rise of an Empire (2014)

IMDB: "300: Rise of an Empire"
People have different opinions, and mine is that this movie is as effective as sleeping pills. I had to find something better to do, so I just closed my eyes and drifted off into Dreamland. I've only seen one of Eva Greens films and that is "Dark Shadows" and I hated the movie and I did not like her.

Artemisia (Eva Green)..
The story pits the Greek general Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton) against the massive invading Persian forces, ruled by the mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and led by Artemisia (Eva Green), the vengeful commander of the Persian navy. Knowing his only hope of defeating the overwhelming Persian armada will be to unite all of Greece, Themistocles ultimately leads the charge that will change the course of the war.
